THE 6RS MODEL
About the 6RS Model for Successful Professional Development
In order to make sure that characteristics of high quality professional learning opportunities are provided, the Schultz Center has developed a model outlining the necessary steps for thinking about the design of a program for adult learners. These steps outline a process of strategic thinking and planning that should occur for any program of professional development – aimed at improving the content knowledge and practice of teachers for the purpose of improving student achievement.
